Strength Program for Runners

Injury prevention for Runner

Injuries happen more often then they should when it comes to running. For example: The knees are extremely vulnerable to injury when it comes to running. 1/2 to 3/4 of all running injuries are related to overuse, and the knees dominate most of those injuries. With patella femoral pain syndrome and IT band syndrome leading those injuries. That being said, we have put together a 2 session package where the first meeting we look extensively for muscular imbalances, flexibility, structural alignment, body composition. These test will pinpoint any problems or issues that could cause problems in the future. These test will allow our trainers to develop a safe and effective program that will be specifically tailored to help you achieve your athletic or fitness goals.

“My personal trainer at Free Form Fitness taught me that it was just as important to work on my core strength and muscles as it was to run consistently throughout the week. He made my legs stronger so I could run further without my legs getting tired. - I don't know how I ran before I met him!” -Shona Sneddon
