Do You Want To Know How To Reduce Cravings?
by Jean-Luc Boissonneault
I have something so amazing to share with you that after reading this article you will never crave pizza, chocolate or candies ever again if you follow my advice.
Do you believe me???
Lets start with how cravings are caused? Well cravings happen because of these 4 reasons;
1. Emotional Stress
2. Unstable Blood Sugar
3. Starvation
4. Mental State
Now if you learn to control all these factors you are on your way to successful results. Research has shown a correlation between cravings and low serotonin levels. What is serotonin you ask? Serotonin is a biochemical that is produced in the occipital lobes and controls cravings. In times of stress serotonin levels drop.
There are a few supplements that help boost serotonin levels (that we carry at FFF) but you will have the same effect if you simply do things that you probably like doing like going for a walk, dancing, or playing with your pet. All these things that give you that warm feeling inside will help.
Now this will help you only if you are not on a blood sugar roller coaster ride. That means you eat every few hours and have small portions with low sugar content. I like to carry snacks around that are higher in fat and protein like nuts, hard boiled eggs and protein shakes.
If you crack and end up eating a high sugar snack it will only set you up for more cravings and long term weight gain. Now in my experience with hundreds of dieters I have found that most night time snackers or cravers of the bad stuff are people that do not eat breakfast or constantly skip meals. When your body is too low on fuel it is normal that it will say ""give me anything, please give me the sugar, it gets in my bloodstream faster"" then here comes the insulin and the fat gain.
Now the last point is so important that all the people that I have trained that have won world class sporting events and bodybuilding shows know that if you don't have the mental game down you will never win!
What I'm saying seems so simple but I see people failing because of a lack of mental strength. This happens because you keep talking about how hard it is. If you always tell yourself how hard it is then it will seem much harder than if you stay positive. Everyone that I have seen succeed in their goals has told me (whether it was true or not) ""this diet is easy"",even if I knew it was actually a tough diet to follow or a tough workout to perform. This was because they had the will.
